Paul Roos from Performance by Design knows about peak performance. This is due to Paul’s long list of achievements which include being rated the best footballer in Australia. He was then named at centre half back in Fitzroy’s Team of the Century and a Hall of Famer. Paul was then named All-Australian seven times. He received the league’s most valuable player (MVP) award. As a result of these successes, Paul also represented Victoria on 14 occasions in State of Origin.
As the senior coach at Sydney, he guided the Swans to the 2005 Premiership, their first in 72 seasons.
Paul was also named Australian Father of the Year. This was in recognition of his ability to balance the needs of his family with the responsibilities of managing a high-profile sports team.
What is Team Culture?
Paul joins us for our Networking Matters breakfast in March. He gives us a snapshot of life at the senior coaching level. What does it mean to develop a team culture? Paul’s message is memorable. To the many businesses represented at the breakfast, he offers expert tips so that they can improve their business approach. His style is thoughtful and collegiate. He listens to what others have to say. As a result of this style, Paul built a winning team culture at the Swans.
